A fine antique sash buckle brooch.

With black and white bands of enamel on an oval sterling silver frame. There is a Greek key design in the black band.

These buckles were de rigueur accessories in the Edwardian period.

Now converted with a hinged pin and catch to allow it to be worn as a brooch or scarf pin. The actual pin is bent slightly from use. Still works perfectly.

Simply a wonderful brooch!
